Clarence Moore

Pastor, New Era Church

Rev. Dr. Clarence C. Moore was born to Clarence Curtiss and Lee Hilda Moore on November 28th in Winston-Salem, NC. He attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, North Carolina where he received a B.A. in Business Administration in 1978. In 1990, he graduated from Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Indianapolis with a Bachelor’s in Theology. Pastor Moore has continued his education with Master’s studies at Trinity College and Seminary in Newburgh, Indiana. He was bestowed an honorary doctorate degree from the St. Thomas Christian College of Jacksonville, Fla.

Dr. Moore answered the call to pastor in 1990 where he accepted the position of Pastor at Northside New Era Missionary Baptist Church, Incorporated also known as New Era Church where he has been the Lead Pastor for 30 years.

Pastor Moore is founder and president of the Northside New Era Community Outreach Corporation. He is the Co-Founder and Vice-President of the Ten Point Coalition. He is founder and chair of the Indy Can (Indianapolis Congregation Action Network) Clergy Caucus now known as Faith In Indiana. He is presently on the board for Stand for Children and the Mayor’s Charter School Board.

Pastor Moore has been married to First Lady Hope Moore for 41 years and has three exceptional children in Dr. Curtiss Moore, Courtney Moore-Lile, and Cristen Leigh Moore, as well as four grandchildren.
