Darryn Scheske
Pastor, Heartland Church
Darryn is the founding Senior Pastor of Heartland Church, a multiethnic, multigenerational church in Indianapolis. Darryn is a third-generation pastor who inherited his love for people in the islands of the Caribbean where he was raised. Heartland Church began in the Scheskes’ living room in 2001.
Pastor Scheske serves as the Chairman of Converge, a network of over 1,500 churches, together starting and strengthening churches worldwide.
Pastor Scheske also serves on the District Boards of Converge MidAmerica, Converge Southeast, and Converge Caribbean.
Pastor Scheske serves on the Executive Board of the Greater Indianapolis Multifaith Alliance.
Pastor Scheske serves on the Advisory Team of m360.info, an innovative missions platform that positions and connects local churches to global impact.
Pastor Scheske is a member of the Mayor’s Commission on Race and Equity for the City of Fishers, Indiana.
Pastor Scheske is a member of the Fishers Rotary Club, a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow, and the 2010 Rotarian of the Year.
Finally, Pastor Scheske is invited as a keynote speaker at events, conferences and retreats across the nation and around the world.
Pastor Scheske holds a Master’s degree in Leadership from Southeastern University. In 2018, Pastor Scheske received an honorary Doctor of Divinity from Indiana Wesleyan University.
Pastor Scheske was honored at the White House United We Stand Summit as one of 16 “Uniters” in September 2022.
Darryn and his wife Loree have been married for over 31 years and are blessed with three adult children, two grandchildren, and a long-haired miniature dachshund named Ginger. Darryn is a PADI Divemaster and enjoys leading diving expeditions in tropical waters all over the world.
