Unwelcomed: A Fair Housing History of Sales & Lending Discrimination Exhibit & Open House

Common Ground Midtown is hosting an interactive exhibit created by the Fair Housing Center of Central Indiana during the month of April entitled Unwelcomed: A Fair Housing History of Sales & Lending Discrimination. The exhibit will educate participants on the systemic barriers that have impacted Indy’s neighborhoods through redlining, racial covenants, steering, neighborhood intimidation, and other forms of housing discrimination. Modern-day forms of housing discrimination in sales and lending will also be highlighted.

EXHIBIT HOURS:
The exhibit can be seen at Common Ground Midtown (46th and Illinois) on the following days, starting on April 11th:

  • Tuesday: 11 AM - 1 PM and 4 PM - 6 PM

  • Wednesday: 11 AM - 1 PM and 4 PM - 6 PM

  • Thursday: 11 AM - 1 PM and 4 PM - 6 PM

OPEN HOUSE:
We will have an Open House on Saturday, April 15th from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM with special guest, Rabbi Aaron Spiegel from the Greater Indianapolis MulitFaith Alliance.

No registration necessary.
