Rick Ginther

Director, Office of Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs at Archdiocese of Indianapolis

Father Rick Ginther is a native of Indianapolis. As a priest for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Indianapolis since 1983, he has served in parishes in Indianapolis, Tell City, Richmond, and Terre Haute, Indiana; in the last, he was Dean of the Terre Haute Deanery. He is the past Rector/Pastor of SS. Peter and Paul Cathedral Parish and Director of Liturgy for the Office of Worship, Archdiocese. He is currently the pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes parish in Indianapolis, the Director of the Office of Ecumenism and Interreligious Relations for the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, a member of the College of Deans for the Archdiocese for the East Deanery. He is a member of the Center for Interfaith Cooperation (CIC) Board since 2018.  He has earned a B.A. in History, an M.A. in Biblical Studies and an M.A. in Liturgical Theology.  He has been involved in many civic and church organizations over his 72 years of life.
