Greetings Homeless Service Advocates!
Last year some of you received an invite to our annual “Hope for Christmas” event which was held at the Irsay and presented in partnership between the Irsay YMCA Board, staff and members and organizations of the H.O.P.E. (Helping Others Prosper Economically) TEAM. We were also very fortunate to have various donors and volunteers that also joined with us to make this event possible. Our goal was to serve 150 adult homeless men and women. Some of the items that we were able to provide last year were hats/gloves, shoes, sweatshirts, socks, water, toiletry items, purses, wallets, breakfast items and lunch and more. For those of you that did refer individuals to us, we thank you and we were honored to have your referrals. The day was filled with music, love and creating bonds and inclusion to both participants and volunteers.
We are planning for this year’s event, which will be held on December 23, 2022 at the Irsay YMCA downtown 430 S. Alabama Street, Indpls. 46225-Community Room at 10:00 am while supplies last. We will again be expecting 150 adult homeless men and women and provide donated items this year along with breakfast and lunch. Please spread the word to your participants and join us again this year.
